Don't let the chocolate bunnies and plastic eggs in the seasonal aisle fool you: Yes, it's barely the end of January, and yes, you still have two solid weeks to prepare for Valentine's Day. Though the romantic holiday has some pretty dark beginnings (grazie, Romans!), these days there's no shortage of festive offshoots dedicated to the much-commercialized celebration of amore.

Whether you're celebrating V-Day, Galentine's Day, Single's Awareness Day, or International Swipe-Right-Randomly-and-See-What-Happens Day (okay, we made that last one up), we've rounded up a few ideas for stocking up on supplies in the spirit of love, whatever form that may take. Maybe you're shopping for a sweet-toothed sweetie with a taste for luxury, or a bookworm who's ready to turn a romantic new page? Or perhaps you're seeking lacy and racy underpinnings for yourself, your S.O., your B.F.F., or your S.O.B.F.F.?

Regardless of your or your recipient's style, keep reading for L.A.'s best lingerie stores, gift shops, and other cool boutiques for shopping Valentine's Day-ready presents. Note that store hours are subject to change, so check with each business for their latest info, including coronavirus safety guidelines. (As a general rule, be cool — wear your mask and maintain that six-foot distance.)
