Three years after leaving a Shark Tank investor with no deal, LA's Buck Mason continues to follow its own anti-fashion path. The online-turned-IRL men's brand is clearly doing something right: The label is toasting its five-year anniversary with the opening of its largest store in Larchmont Village.

The brand took over Larchmont Bungalow's former space for its third LA outpost (and fifth U.S. location) and officially opened a few weeks ago. Spanning 2,500 square feet (Buck Mason's other stores are only about a quarter of that size), the laid-back space pays tribute to the brand's very first store in Venice, which co-founders Sasha Koehn and Erik Allen Ford dubbed The Garage. "We used to call [it that] because it was so small and rough inside," Koehn tells us. "With this new bigger — and much, much nicer — space, we decided to pay homage to those early days, in a very literal way."

The duo enlisted Ford's wife, interior designer Leanne Ford (perhaps you've seen her on HGTV's Restored by the Fords?), to dream up the auto garage-inspired shop, which houses a restored 1970 Alfa Romeo and a book corner (cleverly nicknamed the Book Mason) stocked with the founders' favorite inspiring titles on photography, music, architecture, business, and more. Of course, the store offers Buck Mason's full collection of affordable, no-fuss men's essentials, which are only available at the brand's stores or e-shop.

For those unfamiliar with the label, merch (most of which is made in the U.S.) ranges from $28 to $32 for tees, $45 to $50 for henleys, $135 to $175 for denim, $62 to $95 for sweaters and sweatpants, and $125 to $495 for outerwear, to name a few staples. Gents (or weary accomplices) in need of mid-retail therapy rest can settle into the shop's black leather couches.

"We chose Larchmont for our third LA store because we love the neighborhood and community. Larchmont Boulevard is one of the most beautiful retail streets in the city," Koehn tells Uncover LA. "There is an affluent, high-taste customer here that really fits with our core demographic. There is also great generational shopping here: Fathers and sons come in together and both walk out with great wardrobes."

That's not all: "We plan on continuing to open more retail locations into 2019, focusing on expanding our California and East Coast footprints," Koehn reveals.
