Stylish surfers and sustainability devotees have yet another reason to hit up coastal shopping haunt The Point. Outerknown, the environmentally-conscious label co-founded by pro wave rider Kelly Slater, has opened its first boutique at the South Bay outdoor lifestyle center.

Open as of mid-December, the 1,600-square-foot space stocks the Westside-based brand's best-selling S.E.A. Jeans ($128 and up), comfy flannel Blanket Shirts ($148), and utilitarian women's jumpsuits ($178) alongside the rest of its adventure-ready and low-impact menswear and womenswear, such as nylon board shorts and jackets made from recycled fishing nets and cozy sweatshirts made from organic hemp-cotton French terry.

The interiors are mindful of Mother Earth, too. Outerknown tapped friends and locals to create the decor and fixtures, such as furnishings made from recycled or organic materials without adhesives or binders and red oak flooring that gives the indoor space an outdoor feel.

In addition, the bright and airy shop will host a regular schedule of events, such as post-surf meetups and laid-back hangouts. And if the South Bay is too much of a trek, shoppers can also book appointments starting this month at Outerknown's Culver City HQ Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
