A Chic Bay Area-Born Baby Shop Brings Organic Kids Clothes, Non-Toxic Toys, & More to Santa Monica

Eco-conscious future adults and their parents have a new source for Mother Earth-friendly goods. San Francisco-based boutique Sprout opened its first SoCal outpost (and seventh U.S. location) in Santa Monica earlier this month, bringing plenty of gear and playthings to please every Waldorf-leaning L.A. kid and grown-up.

Located on charming Montana Avenue, the 1,500-square-foot shop stocks non-toxic and organic toys, apparel, nursing accessories, decor, nursery furnishings, bath and body products, feeding accessories, and many other mindfully-made items. Expect to find stylish clothing and accessories by Mini Rodini, Oeuf, Winter Water Factory, Kickee Pants, Kate Quin Organics, and Sprout's in-house line ($5 to $148) alongside toys and playsets made from organic cotton and naturally-dyed wood ($6 to $800), safe sunscreens and bubble bath, and FridaBaby care products, to name just a few.

The store also stocks carrier wraps by Solly Baby; strollers by Bumbleride, Joolz, and Bugaboo; Babyborn bouncers; and chic cribs, gliders, and other sustainably-made furniture made Stokke and Newport Cottages, among other high-end brands. For baby chauffeurs safe rides, there are car seats and booster seats by Nuna, Uppababy, and Clek.

The shop also offers baby registry services, and parents-to-be who sign up will also enjoy an exclusive gift bag and discounts on their purchase.
