Now, the King of Vintage is taking his curatorial talents to Malibu, by way of a pop-up that includes both vintage and contemporary pieces that exude the spirit of summer.
From Thursday, June 10 to Sunday, June 13, shoppers can peruse the colorful, vacation-ready clothing and accessories when Silver brings his treasures to Fred Segal's location at Malibu Country Mart. Not only was this collaboration destined due to the fact that both Decades and Fred Segal are such notable names in retail, but the latter also happened Silver's employer worked in high school. Call it kismet.
In addition to a trove of vintage delights for both men and women from Decades (think coverups and caftans plus designer pieces by the likes of Pucci and Missoni) the pop-up includes carefully chosen finds by sustainable and local labels as well.
Some such pieces you can expect to see if you stop by include upcycled tropical-print shirts by California-based brand Aquarius Cocktail, shorts made of Hawaiian barkcloth by L.A.'s own JungleGurl, brightly colored leather and canvas bags by Agnes Baddoo, and footwear by Malibu Sandals — to name just a few.
