Shinola is on a mission to bring its well-made goods to Angelenos. After rolling out shops in Silver Lake, Venice, and The Grove, the Detroit-based brand tells us its massive Downtown Arts District shop is set to open in November.
Landing at the historic Garey Building on E 3rd Street (where artisanal ice creamery Salt & Straw will open soon), the 5,000-square-foot space will also debut two New York exports on the west coast: the first LA tattoo shop of world-renowned ink man Scott Campbell (whose clients include Marc Jacobs and Courtney Love) and healthy eatery The Smile.
