Downtown's beauty scene scores another earth-minded option. Colorado-bred nail salon and spa Base Coat has opened its first Cali outpost, serving up eco-friendly manicures alongside mocktails in the Art District.

Founded in 2013 as Denver's first-ever non-toxic nail spa, the LA location features a stylish setting with wood fixtures, brass accents, and comfy seating. Pricing ranges from $30 for an on-the-go mani ($40 pedi) to $50 for the Luxe Coat mani with aromatherapy soak and hand/arm massage ($60 pedi); all nail services use Base Coat's own line of all-natural, 8-free vegan polishes that are scented with essential oils. In addition to faux cocktails, the menu includes juice, teas, and tonics.

Soon, beauty buffs will be able to enjoy mimosas with their manis when Base Coat adds alcohol to its drink menu later this year. (Nice!)
