Nope, they won't bite — but we also caution against taking a bite of all of Candytopia's charming animals, which are made of gummy bears, jelly beans, and more sugar-coated treats.

If your fantasies are filled marshmallow pies and flowers that grow incredibly high, then Candytopia's photogenic wonderland comes pretty darn close to making your sweets-filled daydreams come true. (The exhibit was set to open over the weekend but was put on hold "due to last minute obstacles that we are tirelessly working with the City of Los Angeles to resolve"; they're currently offering to reschedule or refund tickets.)
Created by celebrity candy stylist Jackie Sorkin, retail veteran John Goodman, and production design pro Zac Hartog, the technicolor experience is the closest thing Angelenos can get to a Willy Wonkian candyland — complete with sugar-coated freebies an art gallery where Edvard Munch's "Scream," Andy Warhol's "Campbell's Soup Can," and portraits of Prince and the fictional chocolate factory owner hang on the walls.
There's also colorful beach with a cotton candy shack, an underwater paradise where guests can snack on Pixy Sticks as digitally-projected fish swim beneath their feet, and a swimmable pool filled with faux marshmallows, to name a few psychedelic rooms. Of course, the experience ends with a gift shop, where attendees can shop for candy-themed clothing, Pocky, Hello Kitty Pez dispensers, and more sweet treats.
Scroll through the gallery for a peek inside Candytopia above; tickets are $30 for adults, $23 for kids ages 4 to 12, and free for kids 3 and under and available online here.
Update 12/19/17: According to an update posted on Instagram, the event is "not yet able to open our doors to the public, [and] we will not be able to accommodate any scheduled reservations until after Christmas." Organizers are offering a complimentary ticket to those who need to reschedule their existing reservations; to change your appointment time, email lucy@candytopia.com. Ticket holders who want refunds can email ticketsupport@candytopia.com.
