Celebrity stylist Karla Welch may be responsible for the red carpet looks of Olivia Wilde, Sarah Paulson, Lorde, Hailey Steinfeld, Karlie Kloss, and many other superstars, but she had someone else in mind for her latest collaboration with Levi's. "Myself," Welch told us earlier this month at the Levi's Haus in West Hollywood, where an exclusive preview took place for the exclusive range ahead of the brand's 501 Day celebration of its iconic blue jeans. (Can you believe the legendary silhouette's patent is 145 years old?)
Inspired by effortless wardrobe staples that she would wear, the eight-piece Levi's x karla collection ($150 to $420) is comprised of denim essentials with '70s cowboy twist: There's the 501 jean in a unisex pleated silhouette, a flared wide-leg version, and an original style finished with a red patent leather back pocket; a Western button-down (also featured a red pocket); a reversible denim Sherpa jacket; and the Trucker jacket in an oversized design and a leather fringe version.
To toast the vintage-inspired collection, Welch and Levi's tapped a handful of superstars to model the collab in a women-powered portrait series shot by the stylist's husband. See Welch alongside the 30 stars (including Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Sza, Tracee Ellis Ross, Busy Phillips, Yara Shahidi, Amber Heard, and many more) in the campaign and scroll through the gallery above, then shop the limited edition x karla line at Levi's website.
