After over a decade outfitting feet in its colorful knits, Happy Socks is getting even sunnier. The Stockholm-born lifestyle brand has a new home in Silver Lake, where its second Los Angeles store and first Stateside office have officially settled into Sunset Junction. That's not all: The company is also heading to Westfield Century City soon. (Stay tuned for more.)
Soft-opened as of a few weeks ago and located in ReForm School's former space, Happy Socks' hard-to-miss Silver Lake boutique stocks its full collection of playful socks for women, men, and kids ($6 to $22 per pair and up), including its limited edition collections and an exclusive L.A. gift box. Also in the house is the polka dot-loving label's grown-up underpinnings alongside its first-ever line of women's and men's swimwear ($65 to $75) that are approved by The Hoff, plus colorful beach bags, pool floats, slides, and more summer-ready accessories.
Happy Socks creative director Viktor Tell and president Mikael Söderlindh both deserve a warm L.A. welcome, too: Following years of frequent cross-Atlantic treks, the co-founders have decided to make their own big moves and relocate to the City of Angels in order to be closer to our palm trees (and inspiring creative scene).
Oh, and about that new L.A. HQ: Hidden not-so-secretly behind a bright pink door is the brand's new West Coast office and creative hub, dubbed The Rabbit Hole. Although the Swedish company's design studios are still located in Sweden, Tell explains that the Silver Lake spot will also serve as a meeting spot for cool collaborators.
The brand opened its first L.A. store on Abbot Kinney in 2015; it relocated not far from its original Venice location in 2017 and also has three stores in New York.
