Here's yet another way to support local talents while shopping for Mother's Day (or treat yo' self every day) gifting. This weekend, Echo Park Craft Fair is once again transforming Mack Sennett Studios in Silver Lake into a bohemian-cool shopping mecca.
In addition to a charitable VIP preview party on Friday, May 10 (6 to 9 p.m.), the market is happening Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12 (10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days) and promises plenty of goods for your wardrobe, abode, beauty bag, and more from over 150 designers, artists, and makers, including new-to-EPCF vendors like Lykke Wullf, Pari Desai, Storied Goods, East Folk, Sanso, Jungmaven, and Ozma, among others. Other familiar participants include co-founders Beatrice Valenzuela and Rachel Craven alongside Ace & Jig, Agnes Baddoo, Block Shop Textiles, Botanica Workshop, Dôen, Knotwork L.A., Moon Juice, Mt. Washington Pottery, Paper Chase Press, and much, much more.
There'll also be The EPCF Connection, a "vibrant new space located across the street from our original home at Mack Sennett Studios" at the Silverlake Independent Jewish Community Center. In addition to offering clothing, footwear, jewelry, accessories, home decor, ceramics, CBD products, and toys, the space will feature Latin American fare from Todo Verde and Senegalese food from Baobab; plus, swing by Sunday for free treats from Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams starting at 11 a.m.
Bringing a little one? Sakura Bloom will be in the house offering free rentals of their chic baby carriers (just swing by the entrance near Effie Street).
About Friday's sneak peek soirée: In addition to benefitting Inner City Arts, the party will include gratis cocktails by Loft & Bear Vodka and international funk and soul tunes on vinyl by DJ Reid Richards.
Ready to shop? Tickets for Friday's preview are $35, while single-day tickets are $15 and two-day passes are $24 (service fees excluded); buy them online here.
