Beverly Hills' Bold Summer (Beverly Hills): The luxe neighborhood's annual summer activations promise temporary installations by renowned artist Janet Echelman (whose nearly 85-foot LED-lit sculpture will be suspended above North Santa Monica Boulevard) and Banksy protégée Mr. Brainwash. The Grove's Level 8 Drive-In Summer Movie Series (Beverly Grove): Throw it back to the drive-in movie days at the popular shopping center's film screenings, which will include photo ops with vintage cars, park-and-dine ordering, and stunning panoramic views of L.A. Free boxing with Rumble WeHo hosted by Vital Proteins (Beverly Grove): The collagen-packed wellness brand's waters and powders are popping up at The Grove — and it's hosting a slew of fitness events led by top trainers, too. Koio's Blank Canvas sneaker pop-up at The Grove (Beverly Grove): Cool footwear brand Koio is holding court at The Grove's glass box pop-up shop in August with its bestselling neutral kicks, including styles like the chunky Avalanche runner, its classic Capri sneaker in canvas and leather, the Primo high-tops, and the red-accented Tempo ($178 to $298). In addition to shopping the brand's made-in-Italy footwear, guests can enjoy artist activations every weekend that will encourage everyone's creative juices to flow, including personalized poetry by Ars Poetica on Aug. 10 and sneaker tattooing with renowned tattoo artist Edward Davila (a.k.a. Poncho the Artist) on Aug. 17 and 18.

Weedmaps' Museum of Weed (Hollywood): Get to know your mary jane at Weedmaps' Museum of Weed in partnership with Vice Media's creative agency, Virtue. The 30,000-square-foot exhibit will highlight the history of cannabis and social justice issues through seven informative rooms: Visitors over 18 can learn about the pre-Prohibition uses of hemp, the Reagan-era laws that led to the mass incarceration of minorities for marijuana offenses, how pop culture helped normalize (and legalize) the plant, and much more; plus, an interactive Plant Lab will explain the difference between cannabinoids and terpenes and more.
