Casper's First L.A. Sleep Shop Houses Dreamy Nap Rooms, Sleek Sheets, & More

Casper may be the original sleep industry disruptor, but smart snoozers won't lose any sleep after upgrading to their out-of-the-box mattresses — and now, Angelenos can finally bring home the San Francisco-based online brand's slumber-happy goods IRL at its first-ever Sleep Shop, which is now open on Melrose Avenue.

The 3,300-square-foot store quietly debuted at the end of August and houses Casper's full line of design-focused mattresses, pillows, bedding, and bedroom furniture and accessories ($65 to $2,990). Stylish snoozers can even book a free 30-minute test nap on the brand's premium latex and memory foam mattresses, which range from $395 to $795 for its classic three-layer Essential option, $595 to $1,195 for the best-selling Casper, and the $1,395 to $2,695 to the gel pod-packed Wave. Once you're ready to check out, you can take home your merch straight from the shop or choose to have it delivered directly to your doorstep instead.

As if its wallet-friendly prices, 100-night trial, and 10-year limited warranty weren't enough to promote proper shut-eye, the space itself was designed for the ultimate relaxing retail therapy experience. Inspired by the cycle of day and night, the charming interiors are decked out with murals of the morning and evening skies, while sounds of birds chirping and snoring will keep shoppers in a tranquil state of mind.

Casper currently has 40 U.S. Sleep Shops as well as space on the shelves of Target and Nordstrom. The new L.A. outpost is part of the Bay Area-bred company's major plans to roll out 200 locations in Ameria over the next several years.

Inspired by the comforts of home, the new store reimagines how we shop for sleep with Casper's dreamiest retail design yet. The space is inspired by the cycle of day and night — complete with custom murals, sun and moon installations, and the sounds of birds chirping. Visitors can shop Casper's outrageously comfortable sleep offerings and even book a nap to experience the products in one of the store's miniature homes. 

Casper opened its first pop-up shop on Abbot Kinney Boulevard four years ago, and is now putting down permanent roots in the heart of LA with the opening of the Melrose Sleep Shop. Across the state of California, Casper has nearly 10 retail stores with nearly 50 across North America.
