Minimalist bag ladies and lads are likely well-acquainted with Vere Verto, the sleek Los Angeles-based accessories brand known for its convertible carryalls. Sadly, we recently learned the beloved label shuttered back in July after six years.
Founded in 2013 by Madrid-bred Consuelo Chozas and Michigan-born Paige Smith, the local line became a cult-favorite for its fashionable and multi-functional leather backpacks, totes, cross-bodies, totes, hip packs, satchels and other versatile pieces that transformed silhouettes with the swap of a strap. It garnered a slew of starry fans, too, including Solange and Brie Larson.
As far as what the designer duo is up to these days, Chozas tells us that she relocated to Paris with her husband and daughter back in November. Smith continues to work as a graphic designer and artist, and current projects include her international street art project, Urban Geode.
We'll miss you, VV!
