Lipstick Stations, Secret Photo Booths: Inside Gucci Beauty's '80s-Inspired L.A. Pop-Up

L.A. fashion freaks and beauty buffs came in their Gucci best last night at the Italian luxury house's private soirée. It was all in celebration of the brand's newest Mascara L'Obscur and its dreamy Gucci Beauty Network Studios pop-up, which is in partnership with Sephora and holding court on Melrose Avenue today (12 to 8 p.m.) and Saturday (11 a.m. to 7 p.m.)

At Thursday evening's fashionable bash, Gucci Beauty creative director Thomas de Kluyver was joined by starry guests like Beck, Langley Fox, Zoe Bleu Arquette, Kilo Kish, Jeffertitti, King Princess, Myles Hendrik, Soko, and more alongside no shortage of industry insiders and influencers. Attendees scored a sneak peek at the two-day experience, which transformed the Melrose space into a decadent '80s-inspired beauty playground where visitors can try on Gucci's colorful range of lipsticks, play with its new buildable creamy mascara ($35), and discover the label's fragrances. Of course, there are plenty of selfie-ready stations and makeover corners. Guests can sit down and get Gucci makeup touch-ups, play with the brand's Instagram filters, and strike their best power pose at the Gucci Beauty desk. You can also grab a drink at the Gucci Guilty diner, take a black and white screen test, get snapped at not-so-secret photo booth at the Gucci Memoire d'une Odeur library, and explore the Gucci Bloom infinity mirror dressing room.
