Although Los Angeles salons are slowly (and safely) reopening, not everyone is willing to ditch quarantine for basic hair maintenance — or wait it out for a coveted salon appointment, for that matter. L.A.-headquartered on-demand app Glamsquad is now making it easier for Angelenos to get a fresh chop with its just-launched haircut services. (Yes, your S.O. or roomie can put the scissors down now.)
Already known for serving blowouts, manicures, pedicures, and makeup services, the app is now offering 75-minute haircuts ($100) in select L.A. areas, including Beverly Grove, Burbank, Culver City, Downtown, Santa Monica, Studio City, Van Nuys, West Hollywood, and other nearby neighborhoods. The brand also recently reopened its nail services in L.A.
Hairstylists (as well as all Glamsquad beauty professionals) are required to be certified in barbicide COVID-19 protocols as well as wear their own mask or face covering and disposable gloves and apron during the appointment. That means your stylist will avoid touching door handles and handrails whenever possible, sanitize and wash their hands before and after setup, and bring their trash with them after the session is over.
Clients will need to do their part to stay safe, too: You'll need to create a designated area (such as a towel laid out on a table or counter) for the stylist's hair tools and wear your face mask during your haircut.
Ready for a new 'do? Book your appointment at Glamsquad.com or download the app on the App store.
