Sustainable Custom Furnishings Brand Whom's First L.A. Store Will Give Your Home an Eco Makeover

For some Angelenos, 2021 won't look much different than last week, with many of us planning to spend yet another month of nesting in place. And with all of the "new year, new-whatever" ads popping up on our feeds, that means refreshing our home decor and being more eco-minded will likely be among our New Year's resolutions. If that's the case, allow stylish custom furnishings brand Whom to check both commitments off your list.

The online company made its brick-and-mortar debut back in November at Westfield Century City, where its L.A. flagship located on level 1 conveniently across from Herman Miller and Bloomingdale's. The store allows shoppers to customize home furniture and decor for every room in the house, including dining tables and chairs ($497 to $897 and up), sofas and sectionals ($1,397 and up), lounge and accent seating ($497 and up), coffee and side tables ($188 and up), beds ($1,697 and up), nightstands ($397 and up), dressers ($2,088 and up), and much more.

The company uses sustainable solid hardwood (they plant 40 trees for every one harvested), materials made from recycled polystyrene pulled from the oceans, and non-toxic paints and finishes, and offers a selection of more than 50 easy-to-clean fabrics (which also have a lighter carbon footprint) to choose from for its custom-made upholstered pieces. Everything's manufactured at Whom's vertically-integrated, eco-friendly factory located in Mexico, where the company uses the latest French and Italian machinery.

In short, you'll be shopping directly from the factory, which means your finished furniture will arrive within four to six weeks.
