Celeb-Loved Designer Haven Elysewalker Brings Luxe Labels and Art to Calabasas

A few weeks ago, The Commons at Calabasas welcomed the third Southern California location for chic retailer elysewalker. As the area's shopping enthusiasts already know, the hub is already a go-to place for finding stylish apparel and accessories (see The Kingdom, Wink Optometry, and Feature for a few examples), so it was a no-brainer that shop owner Elyse Walker chose this destination for her namesake boutique's latest outpost.

With a flagship store in Pacific Palisades and a second location in Newport Beach, Walker has long established herself as a masterful curator, mixing emerging and heritage brands seamlessly and creating an overall aesthetic that's best described as laid-back California girl with a modern, fashion-forward edge. With the opening of this new space, she's bringing that vibe to even more West Coast shoppers.

About that space: Located in the heart of The Commons, the store boasts 2,343 square feet of racks, stacks, and shelves stocked with dresses, separates, bags, and more by an impressive roster of well-established labels like Celine, Chloe, and Dior alongside emerging ones like L.A.'s own RE/DONE and Staud — all equally coveted by It-Girls.

The luxury haven features art by California-based artist James Verbicky and a 14,500-pound marble jewelry counter that's loaded with sparkling pieces by the likes of Hoorsenbuhs, Melissa Kaye, and Lauren Rubinski (among others).

"Caruso always builds beautiful shopping centers so it wasn't difficult to transform this space," Walker tells UncoverLA. "The overall vibe of our new location is similar to our other elysewalker stores and I love how the layout and modern, open aesthetic allows for great natural light."

And now that it's officially open for business, Walker says that she can't wait to start seeing more faces in the shop to browse, buy, and even attend some fetes in the not-so-distant future. "We built our business with a strong community base," she explains. "Now that shopping in-person is coming back, we are excited to be involved in more interactive events and collaborations."
