Midge is making her way back to Los Angeles — and the fictional stand-up comic is bringing a little bit of NYC with her. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is taking over our city Saturday and Sunday to celebrate its fourth season with photo ops, pop-ups from Big Apple-faved eateries and more.
The two-day "Making L.A. Marvelous" pop-up will hold court at 8175 Melrose Ave. from 12 to 8 p.m. daily and will feature iconic Lower East Side deli Russ & Daughters, legendary venue Blue Note Jazz Club, and memorable moments from season four of the Emmy-winning series, including (spoiler alert!) Coney Island-inspired selfie spots, a wandering magician, a recreation of wisecracking manager Susie's office that was originally designed by production designer Bill Groom.
Fans can also enjoy live jazz performances like it's 1960 and enjoy Jewish staples from Russ & Daughters' deli counter (which will appear as it was in the '60s).
The two-day "Making L.A. Marvelous" experience follows the TV series' one-day takeover in 2019 that brought 1959 prices to iconic L.A. landmarks and buzzy spots, including Drybar, Starring by Ted Gibson salon, Art's Deli, Canter's, Pink's Hot Dogs, Bellacures, the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel and even a Chevron gas station.
The pop-up is free to attend and proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours is required to enter. Masks are required inside except for during eating and drinking.
