On the first of December, in the hub of Beverly Hills—at Saks Fifth Avenue, to be precise—a flurry of fashionable activity kicked off a special in-store soirée benefiting the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF). In recognition of World AIDS Day, the event unveiled Saks and EJAF's new multi-brand holiday capsule collection.

As part of the partnership, Saks is donating $1 million to the EJAF's Rocket Fund, $500,000 of which will come from proceeds from the collection. Featuring an assortment of women's and men's ready-to-wear, accessories, kids, beauty, and home from Gucci, Valentino, Staud, Jonathan Adler, and Golden Goose, the collection is available to shop now at the luxury retailer's locations and website.

Attendees were greeted by a quintet of event hosts—namely, L.A.-based fine-art and aerial photographer Gray Malin, creator and co-founder of I am a voter Mandana Dayani, YouTuber Natalie Tran, founder of Freudenberger Design and author of bestselling book Surf Shack, Nina Freudenberger, and celebrity wardrobe stylist Tara Swennen.

An assortment of dazzling designer presents beckoned shoppers. Fashion's who's who embraced the festive step and repeat. The DJ spun Elton John and Dua Lipa's global hit Cold Heart. L.A.-based artist Kelly Maryanski feverishly painted fashion illustrations of guests in real time. The highlight of the evening: Welcome remarks from Sandra Lee. The multi-Emmy and Gracie award winner slash iconic chef extraordinaire – who's also an EJAF board member – glowed in a bubblegum pink Alice + Olivia blazer (layered over a Cinq à Sept lace-trim blazer) with pink pants to match. Metallic satin Versace platform pumps anchored her look.

After losing friends to the disease, the fight against HIV/AIDS is a cause Lee holds near to her heart and one of the reasons she joined the EJAF. Debuted in 1992, the nonprofit funds frontline partners to prevent infections, fight stigma, and provide treatment for the most vulnerable groups affected by HIV worldwide. The activist and philanthropist has been part of the EJAF family for the last decade and has served for many years as a co-chair of both its L.A. and the New York events. She is also the recipient of the Enduring Vision Award.

The event followed the unveiling of Saks Fifth Avenue's holiday display, where Elton John sang "Your Song," on the piano in the middle of Fifth Avenue.
