46th Annual L.A. Chinatown Firecracker Year of the Dragon (Chinatown): L.A. Chinatown Firecracker is one of the largest and oldest running races in the U.S. with its upcoming Lunar New Year run, walk, cycling and dog walk events held over the weekend. Registration is now open for the Year of the Dragon 46th Annual L.A. Chinatown Firecracker with a choice to participate in-person or virtually. Each registered participant receives a commemorative 2024 Firecracker race bib, exclusive collectible finisher's medal, limited edition t-shirt (Paw'er Dogs receive their own commemorative Firecracker t-shirt), goody bag, and much more. In addition, participants and their guests will enjoy the Lunar New Year Celebration in the heart of historic Chinatown with an opening ceremony filled with lion dancers and the traditional lighting of 100,000 firecrackers. Registration is $38 – $75 with discounts for participating in multiple events.

Norms 75th Anniversary (Multiple Location): Norms is celebrating their 75th anniversary throughout 2024 and they are kickin off the festivities with a limited time 7 for $5.99 menu along with Four Course Dinners. Available Monday – Thursday for dine in only, guests can choose from a rotating menu of seven scrumptious items including ribs, tenders and more. Guests can create their own four-course meal including soup, salad, entrée, and dessert.

Where You Stand: Chinatown 1880 to 1939 Exhibit (DTLA): Union Station is showcasing a year-long temporary exhibit called Chinatown 1880 to 1939. The exhibition invites guests into the center of this once vibrant community of families, businesses and associations through historic photographs, oral history recordings and augmented reality.

"Geoff McFetridge: Drawing a Life" Screening at Los Angeles Union Station (DTLA): Metro Art Presents will host a free screening of "Geoff McFetridge: Drawing a Life" in Union Station's historic ticketing hall. The film is a poetic and intimate look into the life and work of one of the most visionary artists of his time, while also exploring the universal questions of what makes a fulfilling life. In "Geoff McFetridge: Drawing a Life," fellow artist and director Dan Covert offers unprecedented access into Geoff's multicolored world, painting an intimate portrait of a man whose work is guided by intention and authenticity. Cookies' Melrose Dispensary Open (Melrose): Join Cookies and Berner for the grand reopening of the iconic Cookies Melrose dispensary in the heart of Los Angeles this Saturday, Feb. 24. Down the street from the original location, the new dispensary, at 7569 Melrose Ave, was personally designed by Berner, Co-Founder and CEO of Cookies, for the local community. Three new Cookies strains–Purple Sand, Blueberry Banana, and Cinnamon Milk–will drop at the grand opening celebration, along with the new 3-in-1 dual chamber vape.

Tapizôn's Carnaval Celebration (El Segundo): Festival season is kicking off around the world, and Brazilian restaurant, Tapizôn, is bringing Carnaval, or "The Greatest Show on Earth," to El Segundo! Tapizôn's tropical space will feature dazzling Samba dancers from the Raiz Brazil Dance Company and Jonia Samba Queen, and live music with DJ Potira and Soundbox. Tapizôn will serve an array of Brazilian dishes including Pastel, Kibe, Garlic Fried Chicken, Cheesy Dice, Yucca Fries, and the country's national dish and drink, Feijoada and Caipirinha. Not only does this unforgettable evening bring the community together but it also gives back to Ed! the El Segundo Education Foundation.
