Comfort food hits different when there's a story behind it, and for Jenny Martinez, every dish starts with family. This month, the viral chef and content creator is bringing those flavors to Yaamava' Resort & Casino with a limited-time takeover at bEATS, transforming the casual dining spot into a destination for bold Mexican-inspired eats through Saturday, May 30.
Known for her online recipes that blend tradition with craveable modern twists, Martinez built a loyal following by showcasing authentic Mexican cooking in a way that feels approachable, nostalgic and fun. Now, guests at Yaamava' can taste those flavors IRL through a menu filled with loaded comfort food staples inspired by her roots.

From Birria Queso Fries layered with slow-cooked beef and cheddar to Citrus Hot Wings paired with cilantro ranch, the menu leans into rich flavors designed for sharing. There's also the All-In Carne Asada Bowl packed with cilantro rice and grilled onions, plus a Smoked Esquite Beef Hot Dog topped with cotija cheese and lime aioli that feels straight out of a summer cookout with a Mexican street-food twist.
We caught up with Martinez to talk about bringing her family recipes to Yaamava' Resort & Casino, the dish that guests should order from the menu and the L.A. Mexican food scene.

How does your Mexican roots show up in this menu at bEATS, and what does it mean to bring those flavors to a space like Yaamava' Resort & Casino?
JM: You'll find a piece of my roots in every dish here at bEATS, whether it's through the authentic chiles like chile de arbol or serrano – or through my authentic recipes that have been passed down to me from generations, like Birria and modernizing it on our delicious Birria Loaded Fries! It's absolutely incredible to be able to share these flavors at Yaamava' Resort and Casino. In my 'younger' days I'd come play at Yaamava' and back then you wouldn't fine authentic recipes such as these being served here so it's really beautiful to be able to share my culture with everyone here at Yaamava' Resort and Casino.
Out of everything on the menu, what's your personal favorite and why? Is thereone dish that feels the most "you"?
JM: The Birria Loaded Fries. Birria is the core reason why I started social media, it helped put me on the map and this one special recipe really brought me so far! While it's an authentic family recipe, we've modernized it on loaded fries and it's such a HUGE hit at bEATS!
L.A. has one of the best Mexican food scenes in the country, what are some of your go-to spots or hidden gems you always recommend?
JM: I don't really eat out too much, I cook dinner almost every night, but if we do go out, we love Moo's Craft Barbeque, which is a Mexican BBQ spot inspired by Texas BBQ. It's a combination of both worlds and it's so delicious!
The cultural holiday is all about celebration and family, how did those moments inspire the dishes you created for this takeover?
JM: Mexicans are all about gathering together especially when there's food! So, I really wanted to include the dishes that tend to gather the family together such as Carne Asada, Shrimp Tacos and Birria!
