Culver City's Coolest New Shop Has Everything for Your Rustic-Modern Life

Chances are Bash, Please was behind the dreamy scenery, and you'll be happy to know that its founders' inspiring rustic-modern style is now attainable in shopping form.

Enter Midland, a new boutique by Paige Appel and Kelly Haris, the creative geniuses behind the LA wedding and event planning company. The 1,400-square-foot space officially debuted yesterday on Culver City's Washington Boulevard, where it's just a hop and a skip away from buzzy center Platform.

Decked out with natural wood fixtures with a hint of Southwest-cool, the lifestyle shop offers merch from LA's most talented indie designers alongside a mix of stateside and global goods. Expect to find linen tops and cocoon dresses by Sugar Candy Mountain, Pietsie, and Miranda Bennett; vintage-inspired eyewear from St. Rita Parlor; sleek leather bags by Agnes Badoo; footwear by Beatriz Valenzuela; and jewelry by Maya Brenner, to name just a few.

In the apothecary department, there's beauty and skincare by Shiva Rose, men's grooming products by Mayron's Goods, soaps by Woodlot, and fragrances by Carlen Parfums. For the home and garden, the shop's got sage bundles, textiles by Heather Taylor, decorative objects from Africa, All Good Things organic seeds, to name a few. There's even a section for little ones too: pick up wooden toys by A Summer Afternoon, charming kids clothing from Indego Africa, Navajo beaded baby booties, and more.
