If you believe those left brain/right brain stereotypes, then MIT would be the last place you'd expect to be a fashion breeding ground. Enter high-tech label Ministry of Supply, high-performance office apparel label founded by three former MIT students. The brand just opened its first SoCal boutique at Santa Monica Place, joining seven other U.S. stores (including two in Northern California).

Known for its high-performance dress clothing spun from innovative fabrics, the brand brings its full collection sweat-friendly work wear that can withstand a 16-hour day. Womenswear pieces include super-soft antimicrobial tops ($45), silk-like blouses with a four-way stretch ($85), and breathable anti-wrinkle pants ($145), while menswear includes wrinkle-free button downs ($95), seamless knitted blazers ($285), and lightweight jackets that never lose their shape ($450).

Also on display are videos of Ministry of Supply's apparel in action, and an astronaut mannequin to reflect the brand's use of NASA technology to create some of the pieces. Explore more inside the shop and scroll through the gallery above, then see more details on how to visit the store below.
