Speaking of bread, the bakery features a custom-built wood-fired oven imported from Italy, which gives the goods a "unique flavor that is specific to the native grain" of Piemonte, Italy.

It's all coming together at Westfield Century City. After rolling out its latest roster of stylish retailers, the fashionable LA lifestyle center will soon welcome Eataly's first-ever west coast outpost this Friday, November 3 at precisely 6pm.
Landing on the second level next door to Macy's, the highly-anticipated Italian dining destination will span 67,000 square feet across three stories and will house four full-service restaurants, nine eateries, two cafes, two bars, a marketplace (including a wine shop featuring Italian and Californian vino), and cooking school, all highlighting Italy's diverse regional fare. On the menus, expect to find everything from traditional Neapolitan and Roman-style pizza to sweet and savory flatbread from Liguria, decadent pastries and locally-sourced fish, to name just a few. Also in the house will be quick-serve options like an espresso bar, panini station, and a gelato counter.
Over in the marketplace, culinary-inclined shoppers can pick up fresh ingredients used at Eataly's restaurants, including produce, dry goods, charcuterie and cheese, handmade pasta, meat and seafood, breads, condiments, sauces, and much more. (Of course, there'll be plenty of EVOO options on offer, too.)
That's not all: The culinary destination's La Scuola will offer hands-on cooking classes, allowing chefs of all skill levels to learn how to whip up traditional Italian dishes, how to use local ingredients, and more.
Ever mindful of the City of Angels' concerns over plentiful aqua, Eataly's eco-minded LA location features its own in-house grey water system that recycles H2O and reduces the amount of drinkable water used to flush toilets by 33%. (Angelenos say grazie.)
