What with all of the sugar-coated experiences invading LA as of late, this next "'experiential" event is casting an eye on a not-so-SFW topic. Starting tomorrow, Friday, December 1, The Chronicles of LA takes over a vintage hotel in Downtown, where 60 artists, designers, musicians, and performers will explore the concept of sex over a course of two days.
Created by London-bred talents James Mountford and Leena Similu, the art exhibit is the first installation of a series that'll invade other locations throughout LA. This weekend's event will feature surprise performances throughout the space, allowing every guest to enjoy a unique experience depending on the arrival time and duration of their "stay."
Participating SoCal-based talents include designers Estudio Persona, art and design studio Ready Objects, dancer/choreographer Jessica Emmanuel, and choreoagrapher Ania Catherine alongside international creatives like Berlin's Namilia, London artist Cary Kwon, British designer Ingrid Kraftchenko, U.K.-based luxe leather accessories label Melissa Tofton, and many, many others. Eventgoers will have a chance to scoop up art, clothing, and more from participating talents at the event's pop-up shop.
