Athletic Propulsion Labs' (APL) cool running kicks are worn by the most fashionable and fastest fitness fiends (yes, even the Kardashians have been spotted in 'em) — and this spring, Los Angeles' stylish sports enthusiasts and sneakerheads will score a dedicated space for copping its innovative gear. As briefly mentioned previously, the LA-based brand is coming to ROW DTLA — and we now know that the space will clock in at 15,000 square feet when it opens this March.
The brand's massive DTLA outpost will house its new headquarters and the APL Retail Lab, which will offer APL's women's and men's high-end athletic footwear and apparel. Founded in 2009 by twins Adam and Ryan Goldston, the label is known for its luxury footwear, particularly its Concept 1 basketball shoes that were banned by the NBA just a year after the brand's inception, thanks to the spring-loaded sneakers' ability to offer an "undue competitive advantage."
In a release, the Goldstons explain that the Arts District creative hub "is the most exciting development in downtown [and] we knew we had to be a part of it. One of the key reasons we gravitated to this location was our new space at the ROW DTLA allows us to build an incredible headquarters and our first retail store in a historic LA location while simultaneously expanding our creative environment in unique ways that will foster new growth opportunities."
