Technically speaking, Hello Kitty isn't a cat (for the record, she's a little British girl whose real name is Kitty White) — but that doesn't mean she join forces with the coolest sportswear brand inspired by one. Although the PUMA x Hello Kitty collab officially launches on February 8, Sanrio superfans can finally get their hands on the merch starting tomorrow, when the line pops up for just four hours at Shoe Palace on Melrose.
Taking place from 4 to 8pm, the event promises first dibs on the seven-piece collection ($30 to $110), which includes a Hello Kitty-inspired twist on PUMA's classic Suede shoes (available in women's, infant, preschool, and junior sizes) alongside apparel and bags. In addition to enjoying live beats by DJ Bad Ash, attendees can also score goodies and more with their purchase: for every $20 spent on the collection, guests will score one ticket, which can be exchanged for sweets from the Hello Kitty Café, a cocktail, or glass of vino. For five tickets, attendees can get a Hello Kitty tattoo or and nail art by Masako, Sanrio's very own nail artist.
