It's been a long time coming for Palisades Village, LA superdeveloper Rick Caruso's luxury retail and resto destination that's been in the works for the past six years. The Pacific Palisades development has been building up its stylish directory and is finally set to officially debut Saturday, September 22.

Landing along Sunset Boulevard between North Swarthmore Avenue and Monument Street, the 125,000-square-foot village will feature Caruso & Co.'s signature Main Street-meets-European-inspired architecture and features, including bricked walkways and a 5,600-square-foot central park.

It also promises over 20 shops and restaurants so far, including a handful of fashion and lifestyle brands' first stores. Luxe LA label A.L.C., globally-conscious online shop The Little Market, fine jeweler Jennifer Meyer, and stylish fitness e-tailer Carbon38 are all making their standalone brick-and-mortar debuts at Palisades Village, while towne by Elyse Walker, stylish canine boutique max-bone (which has a store in West Hollywood), and cult-fave Australian label Zimmermann (which has a flagship on Melrose Place) are also opening outposts there.

Speaking of Walker (whose Pac Pal boutique has been a longtime go-to for luxe-loving Westsiders), the stylist and store owner told Women's Wear Daily back in March that her new boutique will be "more Eastside LA girl and downtown New Yorker." While her Antioch Street store will remain open, towne will focus on high-end basics and denim from women and men from brands like Xirena, Mother, Golden Goose, Nili Lotan, The GREAT., and Golden Goose, to name a few.

Other exciting arrivals include Sephora Studio, the beauty retailer's new concept shop that will offer online order pick-up and 75-minute custom makeovers (the first location launched in Boston last fall), and New York's wellness-focused Botanica Bazaar, which is inspired by European apothecaries.

As far as food, specialty market Vintage Grocers will open an 11,000-square-foot store (its third LA location) at Palisades Village alongside British-inspired California brasserie The Draycott (the development's flagship resto), Al Forte by Madeo (the celeb-faved Italian eatery's 4,000-square-foot spinoff), nostalgic American comfort food stop Hank's, and Seattle-bred coffee and doughnut shop General Porpoise (which comes from James Beard award-winning chef Renee Erickson), to name just a few.

The mixed-use hangout also marks the return of Pac Pal's historic Bay Theatre, which will be operated by Cinépolis and will house five screens. (The original venue shuttered in 1978.) In addition, the village will include a 1,100-square-foot community room that'll be available for use by local organizations.

Of course, the sleepy seaside community expects to see major traffic when its mini-Grove arrives this fall. At the request from residents, a portion of Swarthmore Avenue will become a one-way street "from the alley to Monument" in order to accommodate wider sidewalks and and to safely funnel drivers and pedestrians. There'll also be designated pick-up and drop-off areas for ridesharing services like Lyft and Uber; those arriving in their own cars can expect to park in one of the 560 spaces inside the development's three-level underground structure.
