If you've overheard any Angeleno rave about traffic, chances are they were either A) flying on the 405 south at the crack of dawn or B) literally flying over the City of Angels. However, stylish citizens do have cause for celebration now that Traffic (and by that, we mean the legendary LA luxury designer boutique) has unveiled its bigger, badasser digs at the Beverly Center.

Step into the 5,570-square-foot space and a cluster of distorted sphere pendant lights — along with mannequins outfitted in labels like Kenzo, Off-White, and Palm Angels — will greet you when you arrive. In fact, wife-and-husband co-founders Sara and Michael Moldovan tapped the design team of London-based Tom Dixon to give the store a complete makeover, which involved chic corrugated leather wall paneling, massive suede-lined dressing rooms, and stainless steel ceiling panels.

Located on level six by Macy's, the revamped space now houses its women's and men's stores (which were previously separate spaces) under a united front, meaning tourists and locals alike can shop the Moldovans' signature mix of high-end streetwear, luxe labels, and emerging names in one destination. Over on the women's side, expect to find ready-to-wear from LA girl favorites like Isabel Marant and Raquel Allegra, plus edgy-cool brands like R13, T by Alexander Wang, and Rick Owens (along with his lines DRKSHDW and Lilies), DTLA-made basics by L'Equip, avant-garde Japanese label Comme des Garçons, jewelry from Shylee Rose, and much more. Head next door to the men's shop for sleeks suiting, ready-to-wear, and footwear by Alexander McQueen, Haider Ackermann, Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana, and Dsquared, to name just a few.

Traffic Los Angeles originally opened its doors in 1977 on Hollywood Boulevard — thus attracting clients, some famous, in the music and film industries — before relocating to the Beverly Center in 1984. In 2013, the Moldovans brought their cool LA aesthetic to Dallas' fashionable Joule Hotel (where formerly LA-based TenOverSix also landed). Over the last 40 years, the pioneering retailer has been among the first West Coast fashion havens to champion brands like Off White, Vivienne Westwood, D&G, Alexander McQueen, Moschino, and many others.

Scroll through the gallery above to get a taste of what to expect (pssst, we hear the summer sale section is currently filled with finds from Isabel Marant, Alexander Wang, and Raquel Allegra at up to 70% off!) and see below for store hours.

Traffic Los Angeles is open Monday through Friday from 10am to 9pm, Saturday from 10am to 8pm, and Sunday from 11am to 6pm; (310) 659-4313.
