One of Korea's most charming retailer is making its U.S. debut – and in Los Angeles, no less.
Korean lifestyle retailer ARTBOX is bringing its playful products to America with its first-ever Stateside pop-up from Oct. 3 to 11 at 8250 Melrose Ave. The Seoul-born brand is kicking off its nine-day shop with an appearance by K-pop group and brand ambassadors ILLIT this Saturday.
The shop will house several immersive zones to showcase ARTBOX's adorable characters and Korean culture, starting with an eye-popping entrance to welcome shoppers into the world of brand. Once inside, guests can shop stationery, character merchandise, collectibles, and accessories. There'l also be a K-culture experience featuring ILLIT with photo moments and a Cute Custom Corner with DIY customization activities, such as journal-making, phone accessories personalization and more.
Throughout the adventure, ARTBOX visitors will get to know the company's illustrated characters. The experience will cap off with a fun gacha game in which guests win random prizes.
In a statement, ARTBOX Head of Global Business Kevin Cho says, "Los Angeles is a natural starting point for ARTBOX's U.S. journey, bringing together culture, creativity and diverse communities. This pop-up marks an exciting first step as we introduce ARTBOX's unique take on Korean lifestyle retail to U.S. consumers."

Founded in 1984, ARTBOX has 222 stores across South Korea and offers stationery, home goods, beauty products, food and snacks, gifts, and seasonal items. The boutique chain has become a favorite among Gen Z and Millennial audiences for its original IPs across consumer products, collaborations, licensing and more.
