The Things We Do founder and celebrity rejuvenation specialist Vanessa Lee.
Self-care enthusiasts can now brighten their faces or even get a little Botox boost the next time they're exploring Row DTLA. Now soft-opened is beauty concept bar The Things We Do which brings everything from injectables and gua sha facials to reiki seshes and even V-steams to the Arts District hangout.
The wellness-focused space was founded by celebrity rejuvenation specialist Vanessa Lee — which means you can expect customized visage-lifting, non-invasive treatments that'll give you "did they or didn't they?" kind of results. Expect a range of wrinkle-smoothing options, including fillers like Botox, Juvéderm (including Volbella, Voluma, and Vollure), Restylane, and Scupltra, as well as thread lifts.
Lee also created a menu of glow-giving facials ($200 and up), like the Heritage, which balances and nourishes the skin via a deep cleanse, essential oil steaming, exfoliation, a peel or mask, and a Cryogen Cloud that will "lock in your newfound results." Those with acne-prone or irritated skin will dig the vitamin-rich Healing facial, which includes a double cleanse, lavender oil steam, extractions, a mask featuring malunggay (a.k.a. the moringa plant, which is renowned in the Philippines for its skin-saving properties), and light therapy.
There's also the Sacred facial (which includes the option to kick things off with a relaxing CBD gummy), a transformative treatment that blends the ancient Chinese medicinal and healing practice of gua sha with modern-day cellular infusion in order to sculpt the face and awaken the circulatory system.
Other skin-smoothing services include micro needling, snail egg stem sells, blood facials (a.k.a. platelet-rich fibrin), while a variety of peels (including Cosmelan) will help brighten the face and address hyperpigmentation. Those seeking plumper skin can get blood boosters and microinfusions, while facial cupping, facial acupuncture, Cryofacials, and light therapy can also be added onto any treatment to soothe and calm your skin.
And yes, there's something to pamper your lady bits, too: The cleansing V-steam ($125) will help lessen cramping while boosting libido and fertility, among just a few benefits. For the rest of your body, reiki healing sessions ($125) will help open and realign your chakras.
As expected, the interiors are just as photogenic as the results you'll get, too. Dreamed up by LA-based designers Brady Cunningham and Katy Burgess of Wall for Apricots, the sleek and modern space features the duo's signature Anne Truit-inspired minimalist vibes, like sculptural accents and easy-on-the-eyes color schemes.
Ready to get pampered? The Things We Do will be offering a host of V-Day and Galentine's Day specials; plus, all facials will be 20% off for the entire month of February. Though online booking isn't available yet as the facial spa is still in its soft-opening, you can schedule your visit by calling (213) 278-0358 or by dropping a line to info@thethingswedo.co.
