It's safe to say that Unique Markets has boosted the businesses of thousands independent creatives and makers since it was born in Los Angeles over a decade ago. The company is now giving other entrepreneurial tastemakers the chance bring the indie marketplace to their own city with its just-launched franchising program, which officially launched yesterday.
Prefer to support other makers via retail therapy instead? As it happens, Unique Market is once again returning to its regular Downtown L.A. haunt for its Mother's Day-ready shopping party Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Happening at the California Market Center's 13th floor penthouse, the two-day bazaar promises over 250 vendors hawking clothing, footwear, jewelry, and accessories for women, men, and kids as well as beauty, skincare, home decor, ceramics, art, furniture, stationery, gourmet bites, and more. Given that sponsors include Califia Farms, GT's Kombucha, Harmless Harvest, and Sipsmith, shoppers can expect to enjoy plenty of complimentary dairy-free coffee, booch, coconut water, and cocktails during their shopping spree.
As always, all attendees will score a free limited-edition cotton tote and perks like hands-on crafts, interactive art installations, photo-ready walls, a photo booth by Oh! Snap Studios, a kids play area, and charging stations. Want more? Upgrade to VIP status for access to an exclusive lounge where you can relax during your retail therapy, easily accessible drinks and snacks, gratis vino curated by Wine & Spirits magazine, and an exclusive photo wall.
