Malibu Scores Free People and Faherty's Expanded Shop; French Label Ba&sh Coming Soon
Nashville-bred White's Mercantile isn't the only stylish addition to Malibu's stylish shopping scene. Free People opened at Malibu Village this past weekend, and neighboring seaside shopping haunt Malibu Country Mart will score French label Ba&sh's second L.A. outpost in July.
The bohemian retailer's 2,657-square-foot space stocks breezy womenswear alongside its in-house activewear line, FP Movement. There's also a denim bar as well as a beauty and wellness department stocked with cruelty-free skincare and cosmetics, Skin Gym tools, crystal water bottles, and Free People's own line of fragrances, to name a few. After debuting at Malibu Country Mart in 2016, laid-back label Faherty has upgraded its digs with an expanded women's department and a new kids section. The New York-based lifestyle brand also tapped artist and sculptor Abel Macias to create a cool cactus mural in the space.
"The Malibu expansion evolved from our desire to create the ultimate women's shopping experience," says co-founder Mike Faherty in a statement. The brand hired former Calypso St. Barth creative director Elisa Miller to help grow its women's offerings, and the Malibu shop's revamp "reflects our eclectic beach and boho vibe that you'll find in the clothes."
Take a peek inside Faherty's new space and scroll through the gallery below, and stay tuned for more updates on Malibu Village and Malibu Country Mart (which are separate developments).
