Ba&sh's New Malibu Country Mart Shop Brings Chic French Vibes to the Beach

Ba&sh is making big moves. After making its West Coast debut in Beverly Hills last spring, the French fashion brand has opened its second SoCal outpost at Malibu Country Mart.

Open as of two weeks ago, the dreamy 1,200-square-foot shop stocks the Paris-based direct-to-consumer label's full collection of women's ready-to-wear ($75 to $795) inspired by the friendship of founders and best friends Barbara Boccara and Sharon Krief. Similar to the brand's Nolita boutique, shoppers can pull from the "Ba&sh Dream Closet," where customers can borrow some of the brand's bestselling styles for free, so long as the goods are returned by a certain date.

The Malibu shop also houses a Ba&sh Friends pop-up bar, where fellow female-founded companies will hold court every month — and given that the brand itself was founded by two BFFs it's only fitting that Fleur Marché, the cannabis apothecary co-founded by Goop alumnae Ashley Lewis and Meredith Schroeder, is the first to set up shop. Through August 31, the company will offer a selection of CBD products, including a starter kit created exclusively for the French brand.

That's not all: There's also a kids play area to keep little ones busy during their maman's retail therapy, while custom Parisian mirrors were created for the perfect selfie with your stylish amies.

"We wanted to provide the best of both traditional and DTC worlds with our Malibu store by offering the excellent service, impeccable styling, and ease of shopping that our global stores all provide, while bringing in the interactive elements inspired by our brand values of friendship, fun, and generosity," says Sarah Benady, CEO of Ba&sh North America, explains in a release.

Ba&sh's U.S. expansion follows its growth in Asia, thanks to the backing of L Catterton, the private equity partnership between LVMH and Group Arnault.
