While we await news of Athletic Propulsion Labs' (APL) in-the-works store at Row DTLA, fashionable fitness enthusiasts can sprint to the L.A.-based company's soon-to-open store at The Grove instead. The high-performance activewear brand is stepping foot at the popular shopping center this fall, though an exact opening date has yet to be set. (Cross your fingers doors open by Thanksgiving for post-turkey day workout motivation.)
APL is taking over part of Anthropologie's old space, which was split into two. Once open, expect to find the brand's full range of lightweight TechLoom footwear ($100 to $350) for women and men — including its energy-efficient running sneakers, training shoes, and slides — alongside its luxe wool athletic apparel ($75 to $750).
About that huge Sephora store: While the beauty retailer isn't exactly new to The Grove, it's taking over the other half of Anthropologie's old store across the way. The company tells us it's set to arrive November 22 (just in time for your Black Friday retail therapy), and we'll share additional details when we have 'em.
Stay tuned for more, including what's up with those storefronts left vacant after Barneys New York and Topshop shuttered.
