Refinery29's immersive installation, 29Rooms is back. The "Expand Your Reality Experience" kicked off Friday, Nov. 8 with a fresh take on previous installations and new branded corners. The nine-day exhibit is holding court in a bigger space on Beverly Boulevard through this Sunday, Nov. 17, and we had a chance to take a peek inside the 29 'grammable spaces.
Returning from last year's experience is the fan-favorite artwork room "A Long Line of Queendom" designed by Unbothered, Refinery29's vertical focused on Black millennial women. Think artistically designed hair care products, jewelry, and empowering quotes. Other exhibits making a comeback are ACLU's "The Values Stand" and Kali Uchis' whimsical "Dream Doorways."
Uzumaki Cepeda's popular teen dream bedroom — another interactive fave from last year — invites visitors to play Mario Kart and raid a fur-filled closet. Also in the house is an informative installation by Uber where guests can learn the steps of being safe during their ride-sharing commute. Other educational corners include a fabulous phone photoshoot in the art park and a quick dance break party hidden under the metallic steamers, both of which encourage attendees to learn more about themselves and the world, all while having a ball.
Haven't popped by yet? General admission is $25 (kids ages 3 to 10 are $10) and entry is available in timed sessions Tuesday, Nov. 12 through Thursday, Nov. 14 starting at 5:30 and 8:30 p.m., and Friday, Nov. 15 through Sunday, Nov. 17 starting at 10:30 a.m. and at 1:30, 5:30, and 8:30 p.m.
