Sweet Strains & Streetwear: Peek Inside Sherbinskis' First L.A. Marijuana Mecca on Fairfax
Earlier this summer, we dropped the news that Sherbinskis — a.k.a. the Supreme of the weed world — was planting its first cannabis dispensary on streetwear mecca Fairfax Avenue. High-end bud breeder and founder Mario Guzman (a.k.a. Mr. Sherbinski) is now officially serving up fruity-flavored strains and more at the San Francisco-based brand's new L.A. flagship, which opened its doors last Friday following a VIP munchies-filled party the night before that included guests like Ty Dolla $ign, actor-turned-jeweler Ben Baller, and NBA star Al Harrington, among others.
Located next to fellow Fairfax newcomer Black Star Burger (post-puff bites, anyone?), the 2,500-square-foot store boasts floor-to-ceiling front glass windows, sleek shelving, a textured bud wall, and of course, touches of Sherbinskis' signature bright orange hue. On top of housing white glove delivery service Emjay (Guzman is an investor), the shop stocks Sherbinskis' best-selling Gelato line (including Açai Berry, Bacio Gelato, Gello, and Mochi), Sunset Sherbet, Sunset Strip, Pink Panties, and other sweet strains in flower, pre-roll, gummy, vaporizer, and oil form ($20 for edibles to $60 for 1/8 oz flower).
Also on offer is the luxe brand's own streetwear line of hats, tees, hoodies, and jackets ($33 to $160) alongside rolling papers, grinders, its 510 vaporizer, and other smoking accessories, plus a selection of goods from other cannabis brands including Dosist, Select, Double Barrel, and others. Hitting shelves soon is the company's upcoming collaborations with iconic furniture brand Modernica and Fairfax neighbors Diamond Supply Co.
In a statement, Guzman explains: "As a brand, we feel right at home on Fairfax. It's a location we've always respected as a haven for creativity and culture. We're excited to get settled in and kick off this chapter of Sherbinskis in Los Angeles."
