It's been over three years since Miami-born luxury designer retailer The Webster made its West Coast debut at South Coast Plaza, and one year since it revealed that it was finally opening its first L.A. location at the Beverly Center. We finally have an update that'll save you a trip to the OC: Mark your calendar for January 2020, when the boutique's seventh U.S. outpost officially arrives.
Landing at the corner of Beverly and San Vicente Boulevards, the 11,000-square-foot space will house women's, men's, kids, and home collections as well as exclusives from luxury labels like Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Chloé, Dior, Gucci, Loewe, Paco Rabanne, Palm Angels, Pierre Hardy, Prada, Proenza Schouler, Valentino, Vetements, and Versace, to name just a few. That's not all: The pink concrete store will be designed by renowned British architect Sir David Adjaye, marking his first-ever project in the Golden State, notes Curbed LA.
It's all part of the L.A. shopping center's $500 million renovations, which has given the tourist-happy retail hub a brighter and light-filled look, celeb chef-driven eateries, and an upgraded fashion directory. Kenzo most recently opened its first standalone West Coast store up on level 7, and Coffee Commissary, Longchamp, and Miniso are also among the latest arrivals.
The Webster was founded in 2009 by Laure Heriard Dubreuil (previously a merchandiser for Balenciaga and YSL), who transformed the former Webster Hotel's 20,000-square-foot Art Deco building in Miami's South Beach into a three-story, residence-like wonderland of high-end womenswear and menswear.
Stay tuned for more; in the meantime, you can scoop up deals online during The Webster's fall sale that's up to 50% off.
