Melrose Place shoppers, say bonjour to Iro, the edgy-cool French label known for its off-duty aesthetic with a little bit of rock 'n' roll. The Paris-born label has debuted its third L.A. boutique on the low-key luxury shopping stretch in the space formerly occupied by MadHappy and Equipment, and next door to Facile's soon-to-open skincare haven.
Open as of late December, the approximately 1,000-square-foot corner store stocks Iro's latest spring/summer 2021 collection of womenswear, footwear, and accessories. Also on offer are fall/winter pieces that are currently up to 60% off.
The brand was founded by musically-inclined French brothers and designers Arik and Laurent Bitton in 2005. Per Iro's website, the label was acquired by Shenzhen Ellassay Fashion Co. in 2019 and has stores in Europe, China, and the United Arab Emirates.
The Melrose Place shop is Iro'ss eighth U.S. store; there are also locations in Venice and Beverly Hills.
