Socially-conscious eatery Everytable has made its way to Hollywood. After debuting in our city four years ago, the mission-driven company opened its fifth healthy fast food spot in early January at Santa Monica and Highland Boulevards, where other foodie-faved neighbors include Trejo's Coffee & Donuts. (Pssst: They're also seeking artists to give the patio a colorful makeover.)
The location marks the company's first location under its Social Equity Franchise program, which empowers local disenfranchised entrepreneurs to help support their underserved communities with access to affordable and healthy food. The grab-and-go café offers fare such as breakfast bowls and burritos, buffalo chicken wraps, salmon superfood salads, chicken tinga stuffed peppers, the Homegirl salmon adobo, and more for $5 to $8, plus its tasty Creole chicken grain bowl ($7) created in collaboration with L.A.'s Post + Beam.
There are also sides and essentials like roasted salmon for four, cauliflower mac and cheese, green goddess dressing, mashed sweet potatoes, smoothies, desserts, snacks, and more for $3 to $13. You can order online for easy in-store and curbside pickup, and for those who can't make it to their nearest Everytable, subscriptions (minimum $15 per order, plus approximately $7 in shipping and packaging fees) are also available for delivery throughout L.A.
The Southern California-based company recently scored a $1 million grant from grocery store chain Kroger to expand its Social Equity Franchise program. It was co-founded in 2016 by CEO Sam Polk, who's also the founder of nonprofit organization Feast (formerly known as Groceryships) to address food inequity in South L.A.
Everytable also has restaurants in Downtown, Pico-Union, Watts, and Compton; it previously had restaurants in Baldwin Hills and Santa Monica and at Westfield Century City.
