It's taking over Equipment's former storefront.

Melrose Place may have lost a French-born, Cali-based label last spring, but it's scoring another cult-cool Gallic fashion brand in its place. Six years after making its West Coast debut, Paris-based Iro is set to open its third L.A. boutique in Equipment's former space, as What Now Los Angeles recently confirmed.

Founded in 2005 by French musician frères and designers Arik and Laurent Bitton, Iro is known for its edgy womenswear and menswear inspired by 1970s rock-and-roll. It currently has outposts in Beverly Hills and Venice (both opened in 2014) in addition to North American locations in New York, Miami, and Montréal. The brand also has stores across Europe and in China and the United Arab Emirates; it was acquired by Shenzhen Ellassay Fashion Co. in 2019, according to Iro's website.

We've reached out to the label for more details; stay tuned for more.
