Hulu's Nine Perfect Strangers is bringing the wellness world of Tranquillum to Los Angeles, complete with fictional resort leader Masha's goop-flavored treatments of transformation. The dramatic thriller is popping up for at Westfield Century City from Sept. 10 to 12, and it's transforming the outdoor shopping haunt's Atrium with the help of online spiritual boutique Smudge Wellness.
Taking place from 12 to 7 p.m. daily, the alfresco oasis will offer a mid-retail therapy respite with complimentary aura and astrology readings, crystal healings, a posture spcialist, tasty smoothies (spoiler alert: they won't be spiked), and other relaxing self-care treatments. Expect a lush (and 'grammable) green getaway inspired by the Hulu Originals limited series — think calming palm fronds and wooden fixtures for setting a stress-free scene.
The eight-episode miniseries is based on New York Times best-selling author Liane Moriarty's Nine Perfect Strangers, which centers on nine guests at a pricey wellness resort run by reformed corporate executive-turned-spiritual leader Masha (Nicole Kidman). The streaming show also stars Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall, Samara Weaving, Melvin Gregg, Asher Keddie, Grace Van Patten, Tiffany Boone and Manny Jacinto. New episodes arrive Wednesdays on Hulu; sign up and watch online here.
Reservations are not required and the event is first-come, first-serve. And unlike #NinePerfectStrangers' fictional retreat, your smartphones are absolutely encouraged.
