With skincare trends coming and going seemingly on a weekly basis, there are a few out there that come and stay by virtue of their innovation or ease of use. Founded in 2021 in the midst of the pandemic, L.A.-based Faceé has set out to provide Angelenos with a skincare routine that is as simple as it is beneficial by coupling ancient techniques with contemporary materials.
Brother and sister duo Denis and Dina Mustedanagic both have extensive backgrounds in medicine – Denis is a cosmetic dentist and Dina is an emergency room doctor. Dina would return home exhausted from her 12- or 13-hour shifts and with skin desperately in need of some TLC after being locked up in layers of masks. Not one to do an elaborate skincare routine, Dina resorted to variations of the quick yet effective tools Faceé now offers. She coupled her genuine care for her patients and a desire to find a new way to help them take a moment to do something healthy for themselves. So, she created Faceé.
The brand offers skincare tools like ice globes ($64.99) and facial massage stones ($54.99). In line with the founders' initial vision, Faceé products encourage users to pause each day and to take a moment to care for their skin. This venture is just one step of many that Denis and Dina have taken to help others. Dina also owns a med spa, so if she isn't helping keep Angelenos alive, she's helping them relax.
Denis and Dina operate the company with the underlying mission to help each customer achieve a short moment of bliss in an otherwise busy world. The company quickly became known for their hypoallergenic glass Ice Globes filled with anti-freeze liquid – which are used to tighten, tone, and oxygenate skin and reduce pore size. Both their Ice Globes and the Rose Quartz Crystal Jade Roller Gua Sha promote lymphatic drainage and stimulate circulation. We'll take them all.
The brand also offers a number of skincare and hair accessories like mini fridges ($89.99), hair claws ($9), and scrunchies ($24). Check out their website for more information and remember to take moments for yourself whenever necessary. Take a deep breath–you have plenty of time.
