Celebrity stylist and N.Y.-native Maeve Reilly – fashion maven behind the 'fits of cool girls Megan Fox, Hailey Bieber and more – has teamed up with L.A.-based Nasty Gal to design a fall capsule collection with '90s-inspired oversized suit separates, faux leather pieces, and other seasonal staples.
Reilly, known for her chic streetwear aesthetic, launched her career in men's styling and built her reputation in the world of fashion by working with the world's most-photographed musicians and entertainers. Most recently, Reilly dressed Fox for her first-ever Met Gala in a red-hot, custom Dundas World gown (we can't stop thinking about it) with a sky-high slit, Jimmy Choo stilettos, and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
Reminiscent of Reilly's personal style, the Nasty Gal x Maeve collection was launched on Tuesday, October 5 at a cocktail party and dinner hosted by Reilly herself at WeHo's iconic Sunset Tower Hotel. VIP attendees Jennifer Meyer and influencers Victoria and Sofia Villarroel previewed the collaboration while designer Tanaya Henry, Pattern founder Lisa Donovan, and celebrity hairstylist Glen Coco Oropeza attended.
Reilly took on several collaborative roles throughout the process, from direction to final fittings. The collection ($26 to $369), an authentic reflection of Reilly's trademark style, includes three-piece tailored suits, vegan leather pieces, oversized biker jackets, wool shackets, and ribbed jersey basics for layering – staples that define the designer's relaxed street style.
"I'm so excited to announce my collaboration with Nasty Gal! A collection reminiscent of my personal style, I've really enjoyed working closely with the team to recreate my everyday looks. They're each perfect for throwing into your day-to-day rotation, whether you're dressing up or down," Reilly said in a statement.
The collab marks Reilly's major second launch this year. In April, she debuted a unisex line of loungewear called The Local Love Club with the goal of spreading peace and love. The label donates a portion of its proceeds to the Kind Campaign, an internationally recognized nonprofit organization that raises awareness and healing about the negative and lasting effects of girl-against-girl bullying in school.
Sizes range from zero to 26, and colorways go form neutral to blacks and grays to kelly green and azure blue. Scroll through the gallery above for launch party pics, and see the full line at Nasty Gal's website — Oh, and did we mention everything's on sale? Ready, set, shop.
