Master Your Minimalist Aesthetic for Spring at Donni's Platform Pop-Up

The month-long pop-up in Culver City marks the brand's first IRL experience since 2019.

Minimalists, make your way to Culver City because L.A.-based label Donni just opened up a pop-up at Platform where you can shop its spring 2022 collection and cult-favorite elevated everyday essentials. This marks the brand's first in-person activation since December 2019. So it's kind of a big deal, especially if you're looking to breathe new life into your wardrobe with spring-to-summer transition pieces.

With roots in L.A. – the entirety of Donni's product line is designed and produced right here in the City of Angels – Donni founder and designer Alyssa Wasko has long cherished and prioritized a connection with the local community. The last two years boosted Donni's growth as WFH life led people to organically discover the brand and now it's eager to have customers experience its tailored, ready-to-wear pieces, said Wasko.

At the space, open now through May 15, you can get your hands on Donni's first-ever line of basics – think classic baby tees, ribbed tanks, bike shorts, and more durable pieces you'll never want to take off. As well as an already-adored waffle collection made up of button-downs, roll pants, roll shorts, bralettes, and vests in vivid hues like lychee, papaya, and matcha. Silky shirts and pants, cotton button-downs and matching pants plus new sweat sets also await your love and attention. Prices range from about $90 to $235.

The pop-up will also stock handmade accessories from Prima De Sur, Enuf Period's CBD Cycle Support Balm, and vintage accessories, clothing, and goods by Shop Rlt.

Wearing Donni doesn't only mean achieving your ideal IG and IRL minimalist aesthetic, it means supporting women, the earth, and cool causes. The brand localizes its commerce wherever possible – from using locally milled or sourced fabrics to constructing pieces locally to shipping all orders out of its L.A. warehouse.

More than 75% of Donni's vendors – including factories, cutting houses, dye houses, knitting mills, graders, pattern makers, and sample makers – are either women-operated or women-owned. And each season, Donni. donates a portion of its sales to a different nonprofit, like Bail Project and the L.A. Regional Food Bank.

Most recently, Donni debuted a twill collection. Taking inspiration from men's suiting with a twist, it features three classic and comfy silhouettes all in 100% lyocell twill, a sustainable fabric made from wood that's biodegradable and compostable. It'll be available to shop at the pop-up too.

A former visual merchandiser at Chanel, Wasko created her first scarf in 2009 to cope with the loss of her father, the label's namesake. Alyssa's friends and strangers from around the world started requesting her creations and before she knew it, Wasko was offering neck warmers, tube tops, sarongs, pants, and a full clothing and accessory line.

Save the address below and stay tuned as Donni says it will host exclusive events at its pop-up.
