Scoop Up Free Vegan Ice Cream at Brave Robot's Earth Day Pop-Up Truck

On Friday and Saturday, it'll make stops at Block Party in Highland Park, Prince Street Pizza in WeHo, and Taco Vega in Fairfax.

It's not every day you get handed premium plant-based ice cream for free. That's why we felt this news deserved its own article. On Friday, April 22, and Saturday, April 23, in celebration of Earth Day, the "animal-free dairy" ice cream company Brave Robot will be popping up at restaurants and bars around L.A. with – wait for it – free ice cream. Brave Robot's very own ice cream truck will make stops at Block Party in Highland Park on Friday at 5 p.m., Prince Street Pizza in WeHo on Saturday at 11 a.m., and at Taco Vega in Fairfax on Saturday at 4 p.m.

For those of you who don't know, Brave Robot is the vegan ice cream company that uses what they refer to as animal-free dairy, i.e., plant-based whey by Perfect Day. It's all the creaminess and texture of regular ice cream without any of the animal cruelty or environmental degradation. The whey used in Brave Robot ice cream is molecularly identical to milk whey thanks to science! It's kind of like what Impossible Foods did with plant-based substitutes for meat products. And did we mention all of the ingredients are non-GMO? It's a win-win-win-win.

So mark your calendars for this weekend and head to the company's website here for a free pint of your choice. Yes, a free pint of creamy, dreamy ice cream. And click here if you want to learn more about the intersection between dairy and the climate.
