Lunar New Year at Yaamava' Resort with Chef Jet Tila (Highland): Yaamava' Resort & Casino's spectacular Lunar New Year celebration honoring the Year of the Snake with celebrity chef and Southern California native, Jet Tila. From January 29 to February 24, Chef Jet will take over Hong Bao Kitchen, collaborating with the resort to design an exclusive, limited-time menu that blends authentic Asian flavors with his culinary creativity. This seasonal offering will feature a variety of delicious delights, with twists on classic favorites, such as Golden Purse Wonton Soup, Long Life Noodles, Crispy Tangerine Beef and more. GVE A FCK LA – A Benefit For LA Fire Relief (Hollywood): The night, produced by Live Nation, will feature intimate performances from artists and comedians including Christopher Owens, Courtney Barnett, FINNEAS, Fred Armisen, Hayley Williams, Jenny Lewis, Juliette Lewis, Kevin Morby, Lucy Dacus, MUNA, Perfume Genius, Phantom Planet, Reggie Watts, Rostam & Sasami, Scout Willis, St. Vincent, Symone, The Linda Lindas and special guests. The event will be hosted by John C. Reilly. The show will open with DJ sets from Fat Tony and Harmony Tividad. 100% of net ticket proceeds will benefit local organizations Altadena Girls, Friends in Deed, One Voice, and Pasadena Humane Society, with all venue and ticketing service fees waived for the event. Lunar New Year at Santa Monica Place (Santa Monica): Santa Monica Place's annual Lunar New Year programming returns featuring traditional Chinese lion dance performances, crafts, festive activations and the enchanting cherry blossom Wishing Trees where well-wishers will hang their hopes for prosperity and renewal in the new year. Overhead red and gold lanterns will illuminate Center Plaza and red envelopes with special deals from participating shops and restaurants will be provided to those in attendance.
