18th Annual Day of Black Docs (L.A.): The 18th Annual Day of Black Docs returns with a two-day mini film festival celebrating Black documentary filmmakers and stories that center the Black experience. The event includes an opening reception with a panel on Love, Resistance, and Power at Film Independent on May 16, followed by a full day of screenings, Q&As, and panel discussions at the American Film Institute campus on May 17. Films featured include We Want the Funk, Billy Preston: That's the Way God Planned It, It Was All A Dream, and Shepherd's Calling.
