Global eyewear powerhouse Gentle Monster has officially joined forces with the Y2K icons Bratz® for a playful, high-fashion takeover on Melrose. To celebrate the launch of their 2025 Pocket Collection, the duo debuted a limited-time pop-up running from Sunday, May 30 through Sunday, June 15.
Guests can expect an immersive experience packed with 21 head-turning eyewear styles, a fierce Gentle Monster x Bratz doll collab, and an exclusive AI transformation booth that literally turns you into a Bratz doll. With towering sculptures, futuristic decor, and interactive installations, the space celebrates individuality and "a passion for fashion," as the Bratz would say.
The Pocket Collection—now available on gentlemonster.com and in select stores worldwide—reimagines eyewear with portable, compact folding silhouettes wrapped in bold, futuristic design. The line blends statement-making shapes with function-forward form. And the fashion doesn't stop there, the Melrose pop-up also showcases fan favorites like Gentle Monster's Jewelry Collection (an UncoverLA fave) and the BOLD Collection, serving major edge for accessories lovers.
The launch event on May 29 set the tone for the two-week activation, where a curated guest list including KATSEYE girl group members, Iris Law, Stassie Karanikolaou, Victoria Villaroel, and Danna Paola explored the space while DJ FIFI brought the vibe. Guests sipped on signature cocktails and snacked on Nudake's viral Microissants—tiny croissants making their U.S. debut.
The entire campaign lives in a cyber-futuristic world, from glitchy digital promo videos to the high-tech interiors of the venue.
